The Japan Network for Atmosphere and Climate Sciences (J-NACS) is a network of global researchers in the fields of meteorology, atmospheric science and climate science, launched (by the Japan Meteorological Society) in 2024. Japanese researchers affiliated with overseas universities and research institutions are asked to register as members on a voluntary basis.Through J-NACS, researchers exchange information on open calls and research projects, and provide information to young researchers, including students, in Japan. The J-NACS also holds irregular online seminars where members report on their field work and their reasons for going abroad, which are interesting to listen to. We hope that young domestic researchers working in the above-mentioned fields will find it useful as a reference for their future activities in a global environment.
