Support for early-career researchers
Support for early-career researchers
1. Career Explorer’s logo
- The Meteorological Society of Japan (MSJ) encourages the use of Career Explorer’s logo to support career development for early-career researchers as well as those who work under fixed-term contracts. When this logo is shown in proceedings and presentation materials, it means that the presenter is looking for a new job opportunity. The logo has helped efficient matching to fulfill the corresponding job call.

2. Recruiting booths at regular MSJ conferences
- A recruiting booth at regular MSJ meetings
We offer a recruiting booth at regular MSJ meetings to support early-career and fixed-term researchers who belong to MSJ. This provides opportunities for in-person communication with companies/organizations in various fields.

3. Childcare Support during MSJ Meetings
- MSJ has been providing childcare support during Spring and Fall Meetings since the 1997 Spring Meeting (in Tsukuba). Each meeting executive committee offers information on childcare facilities near the venues and partial financial support, following “the Guidelines for Childcare Support”. For specific information, please see each meeting’s website.
- “Report on Childcare Facilities” (Japanese only)”
We conducted surveys on childcare facilities used by meeting participants and summarized the information and user reviews in a report. This may be used to choose childcare facilities for future meetings. Note: A password is required to access the report. Those who wish to view the report should send a message from “Contact Us” with the title “Request for access to childcare facilities report.”
