Post-Acceptance Process

Process

Step 1

The author receives your manuscript accepted notify email from the SOLA editorial office.

Step 2

Please send your final (accepted) version of the file (main text, figures, supplement materials, etc.) to the editorial office in PDF format and text file. The main text's format is Word or Latex text, and figures's format is TIFF, GIF, JPEG, AI, EPS, and PSD, for each figure/table.

Step 3

The editorial office will create your early online release file (a PDF file in one). The EOR version is published as one PDF file.

Step 4

The early release PDF file of your manuscript will be uploaded to the web page of early online release on J-stage ( SOLA Advance online publication ). The date of upload and the DOI will be stated on the cover page.

Step 5

At the same time, the procedure for this publication will start. Please follow the email from the editorial office. You need to send the author proofs to the editorial office. The page number of your manuscript will be determined at this time.

Step 6

Topic about your manuscript will be posted on SOLA official SNS. You will receive a notification e-mail from the SOLA editorial office.

Author proofs

The author can view and edit the final form of the manuscript before the article is published on the journal’s website. No English proofreading or editing is carried out by the SOLA Editorial Committee or during the production process. Thus, the author is fully responsible for the quality of English of the manuscript and the journal strongly recommends authors have their manuscripts edited by appropriate individuals or companies as necessary.

Reprints

The author can obtain reprints with the journal cover on request by submitting the Author’s Form (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/societyimages/sola/Authorsforme.doc

Article availability and digital archiving policy

Once published, articles are available for free under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license on the J-STAGE platform at https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/browse/sola/.

J-STAGE preserves its full digital library, including SOLA, with Portico in a dark archive (see https://www.portico.org/publishers/jstage/). In the event that the material becomes unavailable at J-STAGE, it will be released and made available by Portico.
